Aramid fiber packing is wear resistant but may damage the shaft if not used properly. A minimum shaft hardness of 60HRC is therefore recommended. Compared with other kinds of packing, it can resist severer media and higher pressure. They are durable packings able to withstand granular and abrasive mediums. Aramid packing can be used in pumps in all types of industries such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and sugar industries, pulp and paper mills, power stations, etc.
Recommended for serving in superheated steam, solvents, liquefied gases, sugar syrups and other abrasive fluids. It can be used as stand-alone packing or as anti-extrusion ring in combination with other packing rings.
